What Exactly is Fuel Economy Anyway?Fuel economy is a measurement of how efficiently a vehicle burns fuel. Generally speaking, fuel economy is calculated by the miles per gallon (mpg) or kilometers per liter (km/l) of fuel that a vehicle consumes. The more distance per tank of fuel, the better the fuel economy. There are a variety of factors that can affect fuel economy and, with a few changes in driving habits, more time can be spent behind the wheel and less time at the pump.
